How It Works

Ordinary Vault

Ordinary vault sells yield tokens to the tokens deposited to get LP and re-deposit. For example, when a user deposited BTC-USDT LP to a Biswap vault, it farms and sells BSW token to buy BTC and USDT. The vault then creates BTC-USDT LP and deposits it to the pool again. There’s no positive pressure acts for BEE here.

Honey Vault

Honey Vault is different! It turns BSW to BEE and deposits it to Auto-BEE vault. Auto-BEE vault is an auto-compounding vault for BEE. Since the APR of BEE is higher then BTC-USDT pool of Biswap, users can get much higher APY and there’s buying pressure of BEE created.

APY Comparison

In case of BTCB-USDT pair, the APY of the ordinary vault is calculated as,

Comparably, the equation of Honey Vault is a bit more complicated.

APYhoneyvault = (APRtargetpool / 365) / (APRbeepool / 365) * ((1 + (APRbeepool / 365)) ^ 365 - 1)

The big difference between the ordinary and Honey Vault is due to the high APR of BEE pool. Of course it bit of inconvenience that users get BEE as a reward after all but it can be swapped on PancakeSwap anytime so there’s no worry but joy to enjoy high APY!
